I never thought I had so many pictures of pizzas in my PC. I actually had problems trying to decide which ones to include in this post. But before I proceed, I'd like to introduce everyone to my pizza pals -- on the top row from the left: Madison Grill's Barbecue Chicken Pizza, Portico 1771's Pesto Mushroom Pizza, National Sports Grill's Fore Cheese Pizza; on the bottom row from the left: Tokyo Café's White Pizza, Bellini's Four Cheese Pizza, and Cibo's Prosciutto di Parma Oval Pizza. Yes, we really and truly adore pizza!
Ironically, I don't have a photo of the pizza that we love and eat the most -- Shakey's thin crust Manager's Choice. Whenever we feel hungry at night hubby and I always have one delivered to our doorstep. Our kids would wait excitedly for the pizza to arrive, and it's usually accompanied by an order of Mojo Potatoes. Opening the box would release the most savory aroma of hot and freshly baked pizza... yum yum! When it comes to quelling nightly cravings, nothing really beats a good pizza.
Shakey's thin crust Manager's Choice is probably the first pizza I had ever eaten in my life. It brings back fond memories of childhood when my mom would drive to Shakey's West Avenue with my younger sister and I in tow, and she'd ask her
suking guard to take out our order and bring it to the car. I was only about 5 or 6 years old back then, but I remember our trips to Shakey's as clearly as if they just happened yesterday.
I consider pizza a comfort food, and it's usually what we automatically order when we want something to munch on while watching TV or horsing around with the kids. It's just so... uncomplicated. Just what we need during these stress-laden times.
Do you have a pizza story to share? Blog about it and get a chance to win California Pizza Kitchen GCs from
Pinoy Cravings. This is my story. :)
Haha, if ever by some miracle I win a CPK GC, I'll have another pizza pal to add to my collection. :D
